From TL;DR to Field Notes
Hi beautiful people,
Today’s newsletter comes with a few big changes. But first—can you believe it’s been two years of this?
74 books, 47 newsletters, and 14,000+ of you later—what started as a personal practice for better subject retention has become one of the greatest gifts in my life.
Writing these has changed me in ways I didn’t expect:
I’m Seeing the World Differently
The more I read, the more I see patterns emerge—threads connecting centuries, geographies, and ideas. There’s a quiet consistency in how the greats see the world, and I’ve come to hold these patterns as “universal truths” that shape my way of being.I’m Learning to Share More of Myself
Sharing my thoughts, sharing me... it’s not something that comes naturally. But over time, I’ve felt my confidence and voice grow through the practice, and I’m grateful for that.
I’ve always said, I started writing this when no one was reading, and I’d keep writing even if no one was.
With that, I’m excited to share a few changes:
TL;DR is now “Field Notes”
It’s a small change, but a meaningful one. This newsletter will now live within the Frolic ecosystem. Frolic is a community using experimentation and play for better understanding ourselves. You can tap in here.Audio Version
As I keep pushing myself into the uncomfortable, it felt only right to stretch into a new medium. Moving forward, I’ll include a podcast version of each newsletter in these emails for those who like to listen while they move. You can find Field Notes on Spotify now, and if you’re a real one, subscribe (;
Thank you for encouraging me over the years. Here’s the first episode... let me know what you think.
With love,
Diaundra
