Diaundra's TL;DR - The Untethered Soul 🎭
7 things I learned reading 'The Untethered Soul' by Micheal Singer
Book takeaways
The voice in your head = “mind,” “ego”. The observer of the voice in your head = you, “soul”
Meditation = time with soulful self. Time as the observer
You (“soulful self”) are an energetic being. It is important to keep energy in flow as energy can get blocked in moments of resistance/attachment
Blockages = a thorn in the finger. Don’t build a life around the thorn, take the thorn out
It is not life’s events that cause stress, rather, stress is resistance to life events
Don’t chase more time before death. Seek more experiences during life
True love (source love) = acceptance
My thoughts = 3 rules in life
LET GO: Release expectations and judgment on how life should be
ACCEPT: Surrender to how life is
CHOOSE: Given how life is, choose what serves you most in each moment
